Pastor at Winner’s Chapel International, Anna Salem Maigeri, has urged couples looking forward to get married to seek professional guidance before embarking on this lifelong journey.
According to her, it is important to involve a third parties before choosing a spouse. In an interview with Paul Anomah Kordieh on e.TV Ghana’s Christian Connect show, the Pastor said, “You need pastors who have successful marriage testimonies. This way you can take them to be your guides, and they should also be people you listen to and obey.”
Using a scripture in the Bible as reference, she mentioned “it is for reasons such as these that the Bible says that in the multitude of counsel there is safety.”
“So you should be able to seek counsel before getting into marriage from your spiritual leaders, and the counsel of your parents is also very important,” she added.
The woman of God also furthered that, couples should also be able to ask questions for these persons them the do’s and don’ts of marriage.
“Prayer is very important in making this choice so they should be able to pray with you and tell you what to do like in Jeremiah 33:3. This is where it says call upon me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you know nothing about.”
Pastor Anna believes that, being able to seek counsel from God, parents and mentors is definitely a way of succeeding in marriage.
